Im personally upset last time my "Heep" didnt make this trip, so lets try this again. Sunday Feb 21st lets meet at the Safeway off 31st in Old Colorado City. Meet at 8:30 depart at 9:00.
Fun trail, with a couple of challenging obstacles, which have bypasses. no restrictions apply. Great trail for the first timer, or experienced wheeler! "Would anyone be interested in also having a BBQ at the end. If your interested we can all bring food and drinks. Alan tried this on the China Wall run. It was a great idea. So if your ready for some fun, "Lets do it!" Anyone interested in leading? I know you said you wanted to do it again Tim! ![]() Heres pics of the earlier run. Just so you have an idea of the trail, if your not familiar with it. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...2&l=4a7c8fe5b5 Last edited by aaronjarvis : 02-08-2010 at 06:02 PM. |

We might be up for running it again, I'd like to test out my new shocks!

I have a little hibachi grill I could bring. May need another canister of fuel though. Think I have one about half full. I need to check it though, i haven't used it in almost a year.

I suggest we go in through Missouri Gulch. It is the back way into the Rainbow falls area. Nice trail, not difficult, but there are plenty of places to play that are optional.
The only thing you bypass from Illinois gulch is that first long dirt uphill section, which may be still snow covered by then anyway. I have made it up that hill in the snow, but it requires chains. Just a thought. I have a small propane grill as well, I will throw it in my rig in case it is needed. |

Definitely bring the grill. If we could have 1 to 2 grills that would help a lot. Once we meet on the 21st we will plan out the run. I see no problem heading thru Missouri Gulch to illinois. I figure we might have afew first timers with us also. I dont know that route, but you definitely do...... Should be another fun run! |

I know the route very well, but I will be meeting you in Woodland Park. Can we have a secondary meeting place? how about the Safeway parking lot at 9:30ish?
If you get a list of things needed, I would be up to chip in. Chips? Baked beans? let me know. I will have my 5 year old with me, so we usually bring lots of food, 'cause she eats it all before lunch. Crumbsnatcher! ![]() |
